What Happens If a Cart Includes Ineligible Items?

If a customer adds an ineligible item to their cart, Truemed supports a split payment experience:

  • The customer can pay up to the eligible total using their HSA/FSA card through Truemed.
  • The customer must pay at least the ineligible total using a regular credit or debit card.

If a customer chooses to pay for some eligible items on their credit card anyway, they are still able to seek reimbursement later using their LMN for those eligible items.
