What “Pre-approved” Means

Pre-approved products are items that are eligible for HSA/FSA purchase without requiring an LMN.

These products can be purchased directly using HSA/FSA funds, with no medical necessity screening required.

Checkout Experience for “Pre-approved”

If a cart contains only pre-approved items, the checkout flow is typically:

• no health survey
• a faster experience overall

If the cart contains a mix of pre-approved items and LMN-eligible items, a health survey may still appear, but only because of the LMN-eligible portion of the cart.
